Cross Pointe Ocala exists to “connect people to God, to one another, and to the world.” We want people from all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to discover a real Jesus through community groups, through worship, through serving our community, and through reaching the world. No matter what your story is or where you are in your faith journey, you can find a place at Cross Pointe!
As a church, they are committed to showing people who Jesus is, whether it is in our backyard or somewhere around the world. They want to tangibly express God’s love for humanity through community events, partnering with organizations here in Ocala, and planting churches both in America and beyond. They do this in a number of ways:
Reaching neighborhoods through evangelistic events such as our Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, Christmas Eve “Eve” services; by partnering with local schools to serve teachers and students; and by training our people to share the gospel where they work, live, and play.
Serving Ocala in a number of ways, including partnering with The Streets Are Talking homeless ministry, the Women’s Pregnancy Center, Hands of Mercy Everywhere, the Arnette House, Interfaith Emergency Services, and so many more.
Each summer, they hold a day camp called Mission Ocala in low-income areas of the city, bringing a Vacation Bible School experience to almost a hundred unchurched children every year.
Partnering with the College of Central Florida to “adopt” every international student who attends the school, holding weekly small groups, large events like their International Student Thanksgiving Dinner, and sharing the gospel with them.
Working with the SEND Network in planting churches in metro Atlanta, first Collaboration Church (now called Love Bridge), and currently Redemption City Church in the neighborhood of East Pointe.
Cross Pointe is also planting a church to the Temascaltepec Nahuatl, a (previously) unreached and unengaged people group in Central Mexico. They’ve already seen people come to faith in Christ and a paralyzed girl completely healed!
