At our December lunch and learn, we will be discussing the Biblical Characteristics of Healthy Churches.

Healthy churches around the world have the same Biblical characteristics in common regardless of culture, language or location. As pastors and church leaders, we are like farmers in partnership with God. Jesus explained this principle in Mark 4: 26-29

"And he said, 'The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.'”

Healthy churches grow and multiply by the work of God. However, just as a farmer has a part to play in planting, cultivating and harvesting, we have to do our part as well.  But, when it comes to Christ's Church, what does He expect of us?  We will discuss this and more at our December Lunch and Learn.
